SOUTHBORO IN THE REVOLUTION.

Note: Included due to the close relationship with Marlborough.  Some of these men were born in Marlborough or had parents in Marlborough.

Southboro evinced a noble patriotism in the Revolutionary war, sending a large number of minute-men to the opening conflict.
The military warrant, dated Nov. 7, 1774, will ever be read with interest by tile citizens of the town:

To Ezekiel Collings One of the Corporals of the Military foot Company in the Town of Southhorough in the County of Worcester, under the Command of Josiah Fay- Captain and in the Regimant whereof Artemas Ward Esq. of Shrewsbury- is Colonel
