I suspect that most of these portraits were taken for Christmas 1914, while the 27th Field Ambulance were in training. Unfortunately, not one of the postcards bears a name. I presume that these men were Albert's 'mates', since he seems not to have acquired a full set of those in the larger 27th Field Ambulance picture. If anybody thinks that they recognise any of these men, then I would dearly like to here from you...
