Death of A Northampton Man
Willard Houghton, 36, died at his home on Clark avenue, Northampton, last evening, after an illness of several weeks. Mr Houghton moved to Northampton from Leeds and had been employed a number of years by W H Smith, the grain dealer. He leaves a widow and two sisters, Mrs S L Bolter of Leeds and Mrs Henry Douglass of Northampton. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon.

Howard William Houghton, 83. of 49 Angefi St., North Adams, died this morining at Berkshire Medical Center Pittsfield, where he was admitted Monday. He had previously been a patient at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams, Jan. 22, 1900, he was a son of Amos and Frances (Matthews) Houghton. He attended schools in the town. After the family moved to North Adams, he was Sraduated from the former St. oseph's High School. He worked for many years as a bus driver with the Berkshire Street Railway. After he retired in 1965 until 1972, he drove school bus for J.T. Bus Co. Mr. Houghton was a communicant of Notre Dame Church, North Adams. He was an honorary member of the Greylock Community Club. His wife, the former Agnes Bouchard, whom he married June 14, 1922, died July 20, 1964. He leaves a son, William H. Houghton of North Adams; two grandsons, Stephen Houghton of Greenfield and Dana Houghton of North Adams; four granddaughters. Mrs. John (Susan) Boucher of Clarksburg, Mrs. Kurt (Nancy) Bolslolie of Easthampton, Mrs. John (Kathleen) Troop of Pittsfield and . Christine Houghton of North Adams; seven great. grandchildren; nieces; nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. Services are Monday at 8: 15 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, North Adams. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. In Notre Dame Church, North Adams. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. North Adams. Calling hours for relatives only are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
