The Howe Family originated from Derby England. They then from whatI understand went to Long Island, New York then moved west to Montana and were cattle and horse rancher then because there cattle strayed accroess the border in to Canada, if they took them back they would have to pay taxes if they stayed they would not so they stayed and settled around Fort McCleod Alberta about 1901 and then moved east to Buffalo Alberta and continued ranching there which they are still doing today in the same area as they settled. The Howe's have been ranching for over 100 yrs.
