Mary E. Beal (nee Hymer)
Mary E. Beal (nee Hymer), 98, a six year resident of The Cumberland Manor died Friday morning August 23, 2013 at The Manor.

Property* | 7 August 1751 | James Hyndshaw applied for land warrant for 50 acres adjacent his other land and that of John Honey on the N.W. corner thereof (where the mills are), Smithfield, Bucks Co. RP.
Also - I located an entry on PA State Archive Microfilm Land Records 25.2 in section 8 Warrant Book No. 22 1750-1751 which lists a warrant to James Hyndshaw for 1081/4 acres on 30 J? 1751. That entry shows the name John Howey written in the left margin. It was not clear what role the person named in the left margin played in the transaction.
Edward J. Howey research: John Howey cited in Patent awarded to James Hyndshaw for land in Smithfield. Citation refers to land surveyed to John Howey in 1744. Patent states that John Howey did not comply with the terms of the Warrant so the survey was declared void and the 108 ½ acre tract awarded to Hyndshaw. At the same time Hyndshaw conveyed to John Howey a 97 acre tract of his that adjoined the 108 ½ acre tract. The reason for this apparent land swap is not known. Patent Book A, Vol. 17, Pg. 38, Land Records, PA Archives, Harrisburg, PA and Northampton County Deed Book D1, Pg. 197, 198;(97 acre transaction cited).1,2,3 |
