Suicide
Lewis Radford, says the Bordentown Register, a respectable resident of Mercer
county, committed suicide by hanging, on the 15th inst. He was at home until about 4
o'clock in the afternoon, when he told his family that he was going out to the field to
work. In the evening when the men came home he was not with them. Search was
made which proved fruitless. The next morning a large number of persons again started
out, and at least found him in the woods suspended by his neck to a tree. Cause,
insanity.
