Rebecca Slim

F, b. between 1760 and 1770, d. 17 August 1841
Last Edited29 Dec 2006
Birth*between 1760 and 1770Rebecca Slim was born between 1760 and 1770; guess based on 1840 census and assuming Rebecca is the oldest female at 70-80 years olds. She could also fall info the 40-50 or 50-60 age group.1
She was the daughter of Peter Slim and Christian (?).2
Birthcirca 1761Rebecca Slim was born circa 1761.3,4
Birth21 November 1761She was born on 21 November 1761.5
Marriage*24 May 1783She married Arthur Venable, son of Thomas Venable and Esther Borradaill, on 24 May 1783 at Burlington Co., New Jersey; marriage bond.3,6
Death14 August 1841Rebecca Slim died on 14 August 1841 at Moorestown, Burlington Co., New Jersey; Rebecca Venable (sister of Mary and Mirriam) died August 14th 1841 in the 50th year of her age [P72]. If she was 50 years old, this indicates this is not Rebecca Slim. Likely it also means the probate of October 15 1841 is this 50 year old Rebecca and not Rebecca Slim.7
Death*17 August 1841She died on 17 August 1841 at Moorestown, Burlington Co., New Jersey.4
Burialcirca 20 August 1841She was buried circa 20 August 1841 at Trinity Church Burial Ground, Moorestown, Burlington Co., New Jersey.4
Probate*15 October 1841Her estate was probated on 15 October 1841 at Burlington Co., New Jersey; No real evidence this is the correct Rebecca Venable. Just a guess.8
NoteBased on the 1840 census of Chester Burlington Rebecca lives very close to Thomas Venable. It is a fair guess that she could be Thomas's mother.
Name Variation Rebecca Slim was also known as Rebecca Venable.1
