Smith Family of Worcestershire, England

In the year 1805 my Paternal 5th Great Grandfather John Hyslop, came to High Cairn Farm in Kirkconnel, Dumfriesshire.

The Hyslop Family of High Cairn site, also contains the family of my Paternal Grandmother. The surnames are Grainger, Cartwright, Gough, Horton and Harrison. They came from the Pensnett, Kingswinford, Sedgley and Wolverhampton areas of Staffordshire. My Maternal Grandparents family also appear here, their surnames are Smith, Pitt and Price and many others, all from the Bewdley area of Worcestershire, and Warwickshire.

"Deep sleeps the Winter,
Cold, wet, and grey;
Surely all the world is dead;
Spring is far away.
Wait! the world shall waken;
It is not dead, for lo,
The Fair Maids of February
Stand in the snow!"

"To Live in Hearts we leave behind, is not to die."
