Ethel was 18 years old when this photo was taken. She would not marry Albert A. LaFountain until she was 22 years old. This is the earliest photo we have of her at this time. Ethel lived in Pontiac with her parents, Jay Saliard and Inezella (Inez) Ellsworth Saliard. Inez is a descendent of the Edmund Rice and Thomas Brigham families of MA.

On the left is the oldest Thelma Grace LaFountain-McCray-Bailey, Ethel in the center, and on the right, the youngest of her children Beverly Mae LaFountain-Browski.
This photo was taken on a picnic area in the Pontiac area between 1949 and 1953. This was before Beverly and family moved to Alpena, MI. Both sisters had children in 1952, so we figure it to be before then or afterwards.
