Elizabeth Merillia LaFountain, known as Rillia and her father Albert Edward LaFountain. Rilla was Albert and his first wife Irene Della Butterfield's child. Family story Irene left Albert and young child and went to Bay City. I am not able to verify this story though. Rillia doesn't appear in the 1880 census in the same house as Albert, so I have to wonder if she was raised by her maternal grandparents and maybe went by Butterfield rather than LaFountain. She may have went to live with her mother in Bay City at some time as she married "Beneman" and lived there when ALbert died in 1945. This photo is of Rillia with her father.
