John Mc Bride, author of 'Walking in the Glens' is father-in-law of my eldest daughter. He married Annie O'Kane. Both are buried together in Cushendall, Co. Antrim, Ireland.
MacBride is much more common in Ulster than in the rest of Ireland, though a number can be found in Leinster. The name is most numerous in counties Donegall and Down and is also common in Co. Antrim.It can be of Irish or Scottish origin.
