Geist Family

Quick Overview || Documentation || Links

Daniel Christoph Geist, the earliest member that I've traced so far, came from the western Pommerania town of Tribohm, but crossed over the river Recknitz into Mecklenburg-Schwerin, where he married and raised a family.

Another Geist, Karl Christian, also from Tribohm, did the same. And while Daniel's death is not recorded, Karl's is--twice! Once in 1859, during a cholera epidemic, and once in 1862. I believe the 1859 record actually refers to Daniel.

I don't know how Karl and Daniel were related, but Karl was about two years older, so they could have been brothers. According to the 1862 death record, Karl's father was Peter Heinrich Geist.
