Mount Olive Cemetery/Founder's Park Burial List

Mount Olive Cemetery/Founders' Park
Whittier, Los Angeles County, California

Mt. Olive Cemetery, sometimes called Whittier Cemetery, was "recently" (genealogically speaking) renamed Founders' Park when the headstones were removed. Most burials were done 1900-1920 with a few in the 1890's and as late as 1935. The information on this page is compiled from a headstone/burial roster held by the Whittier Historical Society & Whittier Museum (WHS), from a book, Vital Records Index, Whittier, CA Newspapers 1888-1930 (VRI), by Whittier Area Genealogical Society, from the pre 1940 CADI online, and the pre 1905 CADI online. This list should not be considered complete; it is only as complete as I have been able to make it. Only "E" and "F" surname listings from the headstone/burial roster have been transcribed at this time.

The Obit/Death Notice Source Citation from the Vital Records Index book is given as follows:
Newspaper Code - Month - Day - Year: Page: Column

Newspaper Codes:
WC - Whittier Californian
WDN- Whittier Daily News
WG - Whittier Graphic Newspaper
WH - Whittier Herald
WN - Whittier News
WNW - Whittier News Weekly
WR - Whittier Register
WRW - Whittier Register Weekly

The word "Still" in the Age column implies that the infant was still born.
