McLain-Harpin

On Wednesday evening of this week Mrs. C. Frazier and her daughter, Mrs. Rebecca D. Harpin invited the mem-bers of the church and congregation of the Holiness church to attend a cottage prayer meeting at their home that evening. About thirty persons responded to the invitation. At the conclusion of the service the guests were surprised to find that they had also been invited to a wedding, the contracting parties being Mrs. Harpin and George W. McLain of Downey. Their pastor, Rev Walter Matney performed the ceremony impressively, and hearty congratulations followed. Mr. & Mrs. LcLain will make their home in Downey, where the groom is engaged in ranching.
