The first grave in the cemetery is Lee Ella Daughter of W. F. and M. L. Deen. Lee Ella was born on June 4, 1903 and died November 26, 1904.

From 1904 to 1960 each grave was maintained by family members. In 1960 the Democrat Cemetery Association was organized, Cemetery working was held twice yearly, with a lunch and business meeting at the Democrat Church.

First president was George Henry from 1960 to 1972. Levert Henry from 1972 to 1978 and G. W. Stevens from 1978 to 1999 and currently M. G. (Mac) Stevens. Secretary Treasurer was Aslie Ellis 1960 to 1984, Lois Aldridge 1984 to 1991 and Laverne Ellis 1992 to 1999 and currently is Elisa Stevens Chesser.

Chain link fence was installed across the front of the cemetery in the mid 1960's. In 1985 a new rock and iron fence and entry was built with funds from O. V. and Yvonne DiSciullo and was dedicated to the memory of Silas and Mary Stevens.
