The land was purchased by the said Hudson of a certain John Burton by deed recorded in Amelia on Jan. 17, 1745/6.

The land adjoins John Brown, Nicholas Hudson, James Chappel, Christopher Ford, Stewart Farley and the said William Jackson.

Bay mare named Amey Pardue) & livestock on place where I now live, she to choose them (excepting yoke of steers) & certain furniture & household goods at the place; desire her grain to be ground gratis so long as she lives or the mill stands; at her decease, aforementioned est. to be equally divided between my sons James, John, Miles, Abner & Robert. Son James Chappell, land purch. Of William Watson whereon he now lives. Son John Chappell, land he now lives on purchased of John Cooke & Henry Isabel, but he is to pay his bro.
