In this family group, only Charles E Osborne is a perfect 12 marker match to Sharon Davenport. Charles connects to the rest of the group through John Osborn, a son of Bartholomew Osborne. Based on the ancestral chart below, we would have expected Charles to match Larry instead of Sharon. Sharons ancestors are shown below as far back as she knows them, but the exact connection to the rest of the group is unknown at present. (Also shown is Sharon’s surrogate testee, her first cousin William Osborne.) The rest of the group believe they are related as shown below. These new results certainly add to the mystery of how Sharon connects.

We also now have Richard C Osborn who is a perfect 12 marker match to everyone except Charles E and Sharon, where there is a genetic distance of 1. Richard C is believed to descend from John Osborn m Susannah Williams, but the connection of this John Osborn to the Benjamin Osborn’s is uncertain. As discussed on Lee’s Osborne Origins web site at < http://www.osborne-origins.org/linkrecs/f5991.htm#R5991 >, John is believed to be a son or grandson of Benjamin1 Osborn, but because the connection is unproven it is not shown here.

Jed Osborn is also a perfect 12 marker match to everyone except Charles E and Sharon, where there is a genetic distance of 1. Jed has traced his line back as far as John Osborn m Sarah A Jump, but again the connection to the Benjamin Osborn’s is uncertain. This John Osborn is listed on Lee’s Osborne Origins web site at < http://www.osborne-origins.org/linkrecs/f473.htm#R473 >. Lee believes that this John is a grandson of his ancestor Richard Osborn, b Abt 1767 in VA, < http://www.osborne-origins.org/linkrecs/f1.htm - R1 > by way of his son Eli who was living in IN in the 1832 period. But this has yet to be proven, so the connection is not shown here.

Because there are so many Benjamins, to distinguish between them we have appended a number after their names which indicates the generation. For the time being, Sharon’s Benjamin will not have a number and will be referred to as Benjamin Osborne m. Leah Stark. Migration. Some of the migration paths for this family can be seen in the birthplaces for the lines above. The earliest known location of this line is in Baltimore, MD. The families appear to have stayed in Va until the 3^rd generation and then the lines begin to take different paths in the 4^th generations. Bartholomew’s line moved into TN, then IL, and finally KS. Thomas’s line went to TN, then to IN and then west. Richard’s line moved into KY and IN. Doctor’s line moved into eastern KY in the Cincinnati OH/KY region and stays there until the most recent generations. Nicholas’ line went from VA to KY to MO to KS and CA in recent generations. Sharon’s line migrated through MI and into TX and founded a well known Osborne line there. Jeanne and Richard C Osborn’s lines migrated through MO to CA. Jed Osborn’s line was in IN, then KY, and then OH.
