Marzee Johns Bush was diagnosed with lung cancer in November 1996 and it was at this time she made the decision to move back to El Paso and die in the home of her daughter, Jan Parsons Armstrong. Marzee was determined to die as quickly and quietly as possible. She told everyone she knew she juat wanted to go "be with Roscoe". Her cancer spread fast, and she died quietly, in her sleep, without pain at the home of Bob and Jan Armstrong.
