“...I Alexander Reid Mackey of Tullintunvally parrish of Anaghline and County of Down Farmer...I leave and bequeath to my beloved wife Agnes Mackey all my lands and houses in Tullintunvally parrish of Anaghlone, title in a farm of land and houses in Edinornnary parish of Dromor, also right and title to twelve acres of land and houses in townland of Magherally, parish of Magherally, also eighty shares in the Ulster Bank Banbridge - my farm of land in Tullyconnaught parish of Saint Patrick - 25 acres held by lease for two thousand years which farm I formily purchased from the Martins....I leave and bequeath the Said farm of lands and Houses thereto belonging to my Brother James Mackey’s Children who are in America or to his grandchildren provided them or any of them shall come over to Ireland, properly qualified with legal documents from America to prove the relationship and title to this bequest...But Should my Brother James Mackey come over to Ireland he is to get none of the Said property or bequest, neither should he the Said James Mackey come over with his Children or Grand children either them nor him Shal get or obtain any part or portion of this Said bequest, should they bring the Said James with them...I nominate authorize constitute and ordain my beloved wife Agnes Mackey and Mr. Robert McClelland son of the late Mr. Andrew McClelland of Banbridge and James Mackey Son to Thomas Macky [sic] of Drumneath Parish of Magherally as Executors...this fifteenth day of Aprill in the year of our Lord God one thousand eight hundred and forty two. Blackcastle, p 83, states he "had a Precept of Clare Constat as eldest son and heir to Donald Mackay his father, dated 18th April and on which sasine passed in his favour 19th April 1620. He granted a Procuratory for resigning his whole Lands in favour of Hugh Mackay his younger brother, dated 20th April 1620 and died without issue."
