Roy used to visit her from time to time. She was entirely dependent on her own earnings and her parents help. The second child was born in a nursing home and there was an advertisement in the paper as to the child’s birth. That night Roy came to visit her in the home and he was very angry. He said he was not ashamed of the child but did not want anyone to know he was married. He said he was finished with me and did not want to have anything more to do with me. After the birth of this second child in 1928 he sometimes came to visit me and the children. He did not come after October 1928 and did not maintain myself or the children.
