Obituary | 22 April 1896 | Obituary of We regret to learn of the death of Mrs Stubbs, wife of Mr Albert Stubbs, who for many years was in the hotel business in Wanganui, and other places on this coast. During the time they were in that business, both Mr and Mrs Stubbs were deservedly popular with the travelling public and residents who will learn with regret the death of so genial a hostess. The deceased was a victim of that fell disease cancer, which is increasing to such an alarming extent in this colony, and suffered long but patiently before the end. The funeral will leave Aramoho at 1 30 pm on Sunday. With the many friends of the family we offer the bereaved husband and children our sincere condolence in their great sorrow. |
