NoteThe family appear to have gone by both the name Wood and Tetley.
I have made the assumption that William Tetley (Wood) is the son of William Tetley and Rhoda Wood based on the following:

Rhoda's maiden name of Wood
Rhoda and William married in May 1895. There is a baptism entry for a William Tetley, son of William and Rhoda on 17 July 1896 at Armley

William Tetley died in Ripon, aged 74 in 1874. This would give his birthdate as 1800-1801. His death was registered under the surname Wood - as William Tetley Wood.

1871 Census aged recorded as 75. This would give birthdate as 1796-1797. which fits with baptism of William and Rhoda's son, William in 1796.

Mr Neilson is the gentlement whose 'extraordinary accuracy', as a reporter, Lord Brougham justly complimented at the late Carlisle dinner. After a connexion of 19 years with The Times, during which he displayed great intelligence, ability and zeal, Mr Neilson returns to his native town to ssume the editorship of the Glasgow Constitutional. He has performed some of his greatest feats in eporting that have been achieved on the metropolitan press, and we cordially wish him success in his new undertaking. on 2 October 1849 at London, England.1
