The 1880 Laurel Fork Census lists three children which conflict with data

was born about 1835 in Grayson County, Virginia.3 He died on 11 Mar 1918.87
According to Ronald Turner all of Vincent's children were born in Laurel
Fork, Carroll County.
He enlisted in the 45th VA Inf. 10 Aug 1861 at Hillsville and was captured
at Piedmont 5 Jun 1864.

brother Vincent by the same Justice of the Peace, A. Simmons. | 167 | v. | Rachel HORTON
was born about 1838 in Virginia.127

He was buried in Canady Cemetery, near Crab Orchard, Raleigh County, West Virginia.129

This family is found two times on the 1880 Census for Laurel Fork. One
lists the family with Bethany and the children born in North Caroline with the
exception of Lucy A. The second lists the children born in Virginia minus Bethany.
Errors are common in census records when the recorder used ditto marks. |
