was born on 20 Sep 1831 in Hillsville, Grayson County, Virginia.31 He died on 27 Sep 1863 in Fort Delaware, Delaware.31 He was buried in Finns Point
National Cemetery, Salem, New Jersey.327
Joy Davies-Rana published a two volume book, Families of Southwest Virginia.
In Volume II, page 8, she relates that Henry Webb's marriage certificate indicates
that he was born in Gilford, N.C. It is believed that he was born in Grayson
County, Virginia, which is now Carroll County.
She further states that Henry Webb joined the first Brigade, 4th VA INF,
Co., D, 7 Feb 1863 at Marion, Smyth Co., Va. He was captured 2/3 Jul 1863 and
imprisoned for three months at Fort Delaware where he died. Henry WEBB and
Martha Jane BABER were married on 19 Oct 1854 in Smyth County, Virginia.155 Martha
Jane BABER was born on 5 May 1838 in Smyth County, Virginia.328 She died on 21 Nov 1921 in Brumley Gap, Washington
Co., Virginia.328 She was
also known as Martha Jane Webb. She was also known as Martha Jane
Atwell.
Martha's birth certificate states her birth as 14 Oct 1837; her head stone
states the birth as 5 May 1838. Henry WEBB and Martha Jane BABER had the following
children:

According to Norma Webb Broach, James and Sarah left Virginia in wagons
and went to Colorado where their fifth child, Bessie, was born. In 1885 they
went to Bosque Co., Texas, where James worked as a sheep herder on the Flat Top
Ranch where Laura, John, and Robert were born. Later they moved to Milford,
Ellis Co., Texas, where the remainder of their children were born. | +427 | iii. | John Greenville
