March 2005 - Drowning of William Kidney
Drowned on the 17th inst. [17 June 1810] while bathing in the Hudson River a little below Albany, four youths, viz:
- John W. Brower, a son of Mr. William Brower, aged 15 years, 2 months, and 18 days;
- Isaac Rue Halenbake, a son of Mr. Isaac B. Halenbake, aged 13 years, 2 months, and 3 days;
- WILLIAM KIDNEY, a son of Mr. JONATHAN KIDNEY [JOHANNES, JOHANNES, JOHN/JAN], aged 12 years, 10 months, and 7 days; and
- Peter Clapper, an apprentice of Mr. KIDNEY and son of the late Mr. Clapper of Bethlehem, aged 16 years, 2 months, and 21 days.
