Paul Roome married on 12 Oct 1766 to Sarah Kidney. They had one child - Anna Roome. Anna Roome was born 6 Aug 1767 and died 17 Jan 1846. She married to John P. Van Houten on 28 Feb 1783. Anna Roome was sometines known as Hannah Roome but was baptised "Annatje" as shown by the Records of the R. P. Dutch Church at Belleville, NJ. Anna Roome and John P. Van Houten had five children:

  1. Sarah Van Houten, born 6 Nov 1784, married George Tice.
  2. James Van Houten, born 25 Oct 1786, married .... Blauvelt.
  3. Rachel Van Houten, born 5 Sept 1790, married Henry Riker.
  4. Mary Van Houten born 24 Feb 1793, married H. J. Van Wagoner.
  5. John Kidney Van Houten, born 8 Jul 1801, married S. C. Meeks.
