JESSE FAIRCHILD
1897-1956

Jesse Fairchild, 58 lifelong resident of this county died suddenly
at his home at Nippa Tuesday morning, May 1, after suffering a heart
attack.

The son of John W. and Hattie Castle Fairchild, he was born October
15, 1897. He was a miner by occupation.

Surviving are one son, Chester Fairchild of Martin, Ky, five
daughters, May Wheeler, Lucasville, Ohio, Della Osborn, Wayne,
Michigan, Ruby Ousley, Martin, Mary Thompson, Unionville, Ohio, and
Lizzie Blevins, Wilkenson, WVa. Also suvriving are two brothers,
Abner Fairchild, Nippa, and Robie Fairchild, Kern, and three sisters,
Nettie Fairchild, Urbana, Ohio, Villar Fairchild, Nippa, and Vonda
Dale, Memphis, Indiana.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, May 3 at the Mouth of
Rush Freewill Baptist Church, with Millard Van Hoose and Harry Salyer
as officiating ministers. Music was by the Toms Creek Quartet.

Burial was made in the Daniel Cemetery under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.
