LLOYD HALE
1909-1968

Lloyd “Bus” Hale, 58, of Thealka, died Saturday, March 30. A retired
miner, he was born July 22, 1909, in Menifee County.

He was the son of the late Charlie and Georganna Puckett Hale.

Mr. Hale was a member of Zebulon Lodge 273 F & AM, at Prestonsburg,
and a committeeman at Appalachian Hospital, McDowell.

He is survived by his wife, Dovie Bowan Hale, a son, James Lloyd Hale
of Richwood, VA, and a foster daughter, Billy Joyce Bailey of Albany,
OR; and four grandchildren. Two brothers, Douglas Castle of Paris and
Bert Cassell of Chillicothe, OH and three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Fitch
of Thealka, Mrs. Aileen Castle of Wabash, IN, and Mrs. Ola Ramey of
East Point, also survive.

Services were held Tuesday, April 2, at the Thealka Freewill Baptist
Church with Claude Preston and Ashland Shepherd officiating.

Burial followed in the George Daniel Cemetery at Sitka, Masonic
graveside rites were performed.

Pallbearers were Hobert C. Fitch, Harold D. Fitch, Roy Ramey, Carl
McKenzie, Ellis Castle and Randell Webb.

The Jones- Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
