ANDY J. TACKETT

Retired miner, Andy J. Tackett, 77, died October 27 in Paul B.
Hall Medical Center.
  
Born October 27, 1907, in Johnson County, he was the son of Samuel
and Suzane Napier Tackett, and a resident of Whitehouse.
   
Surviving are his wife, Ida Castle Tackett; four sons, Andrew
Jackson Tackett of Geneva, NY, Robie Lee, Carl Ed and James
Arville Tackett of Whitehouse; three daughters, Yvonne McMahen and
Loretta Blake of Columbus, OH, and Margie Welch of Whitehouse.
Also, a brother, Frank Tackett of Whitehouse; two sisters, Mary
Puckett, of Paintsville, and Esta Gibson of Waverly, OH; 35
grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
   
Funeral services held October 29 in Riches of Jesus Independent
Baptist Church at Whitehouse.
   
Cecil Price and Daryl Ratliff officiated at services with burial
in family cemetery at Whitehouse.
  
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
