  1:00   Bomb explosion officially opens Centennial.   4:00   Tour of the Dow Chemical Company leaving from front entrance on East Main Street. Tour lasts approximately one hour.  
  1:00   Flag raising ceremony at Central Park.   5:30   Ping pong demonstration - Band Shell, Central Park.  
  1:00   Rides and Midway open at Central Park.   6:30   All Star baseball game, Central Park. Midland Little Leaguers featuring members of Ken-Van Company, Millers Furniture, K of C, and Elks Teams.  
  1:00   Tour of the Dow Chemical Company leaving from front entrance on East Main Street. Tour lasts approximately one hour.   7:00   Style Parade of old fashion dresses. Band Shell, Central Park.  
  1:15   Youth Parade: Pets, bicycles, wagons, etc. From Junior High School to Central Park via Ashman and Collins Streets. Featuring Grade School Band under direction of Eugene Lowrey.   8:00   Concert preceding pageant at High School athletic field, Midland High School under direction of James Starks.  
  2:00   Tour of the Dow Chemical Company leaving from front entrance on East Main Street. Tour lasts approximately one hour.   8:30   Coronation ceremonies and first showing of the Historical Pageant "Pioneers to Plastics", 400 performers.  High School athletic field.  
  2:30   Novelty contests and races for youngsters - Central Park. Pig and chicken scramble for youngsters - Central Park. Lumberjacks log sawing contest - Central Park. Lumberjacks log chopping contest - Central Park. Oxen pulling demonstration - Central Park. Sawmill and log loading demonstration - Central Park.   10:00   Old Time Dance and callers contest. Rodd Street in front of High School.  
  3:00   Tour of the Dow Chemical Company leaving from front entrance on East Main Street. Tour lasts approximately one hour.   11:00   Spectacular fireworks display.
