Carnmoney Main Cemetery which is on the northern outskirts of Belfast opened in February 1906. These headstones are in Section "D". There are over 60 sections in the cemetery. The sections are not all of equal size, but a rough estimate would be that there could be as many as 9000 burial plots in total.
