Married (2) Elizabeth Becton February 26, 1817.

James T. Atchison, with his entire family and their spouses, moved from SC to Bibb
County (present day Chilton County), Alabama in the early 1820’s. They lived near
present-day Maplesville, Alabama. Most of them became farmers, purchasing land from
the federal government and active members in the Mulberry Baptist Church.
