MOORMAN & DIGGS BIBLE
Preface:
The Diggs and Moorman families settled near present-day
Lilesville and Morven in Anson County, North Carolina, and just across the Pee
Dee River in Richmond Co. about 1750. Most of the people named in this Bible,
or their descendants, moved away from NC before 1850, some moving to S.C.,
Tennessee, Mississippi and elsewhere.

[11] -The entry...."Agness (insertion-Moorman) Everett the consort of Thomas Everett departed this life the 10th day of December 1820." “Moorman” was written in to the side. Per Ruth Dinkins, her "gut" feeling is that someone in the Moorman family wrote that in without knowing the facts and she was actually Agnes DIGGS!
