Elbert Scott, 95, Broughton, Dies

Elbert Scott, 95, Broughton, died at 3:45 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home Galatia.

He was born Aug. 14, 1874, in Hamilton County, the son of William D. and Anna (Langley) Scott. He was married to Marie Hamilton who preceded him in death.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Davis of Rosedale, Ind., a sister, Mrs. Grace Groff of Lincoln, ten grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m, Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Gholson Funeral Home with Rev. John Deen officiating. Interment was in the Gholson cemetery near Broughton.
