Obituary

James Henry Gibson, son of James and Irena Gibson, was born March 10, 1855; departed this life at his home in Broughton, Ill., on Feb. 28, 1929. Age 73 years, 11 months and 18 days.

He was married to Ora Belle Driskell on Dec. 26, 1884. To this union one daughter, Gradie, was born, who died Dec. 3, 1907.

He united with North Fork church in 1902, and remained a faithful member thereof until death. He was a faithful and devoted father and companion. He was ever ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His illness was of short duration and he quickly and quitely passed from labor to reward.

he leaves to mourn their loss, the above named companion, one grandson, James Hall, two brothers, John and Fineous, of McLeansboro, one half sister, Mrs. Lily Barnett of California, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the home, conducted by D. H. Knight. Interment in Hickory Hill cemetery.
