GRACE MARIAN SCHOOLCRAFT

Grace Marian Schoolcraft, 83, of Miami Springs, Fla., and formerly of Broughton, passed away at 12:25 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Hialeah Hospital in Hialeah, Fla.

She was born in Hamilton County on Feb. 21, 1925, a daughter of Joseph C. and Effie (Barnwell) Bealmer. she married William C. "Bill" Schoolcraft, and he preceded her in death. She was a retired professional nurse and dental assistant.

Graveside memorial funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hickory Hill Cemetery near Broughton with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery with the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro in charge of arrangements. Interment will follow.

Grace is survived by a son, William Randall Baker and wife Robin of Miami Springs, Fla.; a stepson, Stephen Schoolcraft and wife Alexis of Barrington; a daughter, Rebeccah Smith and husband Raymond of Lenoir City, Tenn.; a sister, Virginia Williams of Burlington, Iowa; and six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, one son, Gregory Baker; two sisters, Kathlyn Irvin and Ruby Bealmer; and one brother, Howard C. Bealmer.
