James S. Reeves

James S. Reeves, 81, of 605 North Jackson St. Harrisburg, died at 7:45 a.m. today, Nov. 10, 1995 at his home.

Mr. Reeves was born March 28, 1914 in Broughton and was the son of Frank and Lou (Reed) Reeves.

In April of 1946 he married the former Romaine Noonan who survives.

Mr. Reeves belonged to the First Baptist Church in Harrisburg and was a deacon at the church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was retired from United Cities Gas Co. in Harrisburg.

In addition to his wife, Romaine Reeves, he is survived by a son, Tom Reeves and daughter-in-law Linda of Richmond, Vir.; a son Jamie Reeves and daughter-in-law Vicki of Alton; a daughter, Nancy Reeves of Springfield, Ill.; a daughter Pam and son-in-law Tom Craggs of Paducah and four grandchildren, Amy and Ashley Craggs of Paducah and Lori and Blake Reeves of Alton.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd Reeves, Wilbur Reeves and Charles Reeves and two sisters, Alma Wilson and Naomi Morgan.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Services at First Baptist Church in Harrisburg will be at 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Mike Davis officiating.

Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills.
