ALBERT B. MATHIS

Albert B. Mathis 78, of Route 1, Brougthon, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Hamilton Memorial Hospital.

The Retired railroad employee was born September 22, 1899 in Hamilton County the son Robert and Katie (Barker) Mathis. He was a 50 year member of Modern Woodman and the Broughton Baptist Church.

On December 2, 1939 he married Melvina (Barker) who survives. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Glen "Lena" Sutton of Broughton.

Funeral services are 2p.m. Friday at Broughton Baptist Church with Rev. Delmar Feazel and Rev. John Deen officiating. Burial is in Hickory Hill Cemetery with visitation at Gholson Funeral Home from 4 p.m. tonight and until 11 a.m. Friday, when the body will be taken to the church.
