Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Barker and family of Fisher, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Emmitt Barker and Fronia.

Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Richardson of Alton, spent the weekend here with relatives.

Rev. and Mrs. Walter Cuttey of West Frankfort were in Broughton Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Truman Warren of Enfield visited friends here Sunday.

Word was received here of the birth of a new daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Nichols, of Alton.

Dan Shroyer, who is employed at Chester is home on Vacation.

Dick Brown of Wood River is spending a few days here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Brown.

Mrs. Vakel Barker and family moved from her home here to Alton Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dudley and daughter spent a few days this week in St. Louis.

Chloe Haerdesty of Eldorado was in Broughton Saturday.

A large crowd attended the funeral of Uncle Bill Owens, Monday afternoon at the Baptist church here.

Mike Pennington of Alton visited his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Pennington, Saturday.
