Rudy Gene Moore

Rudy Gene Moore, 65 of 6714 U.S. Route 50, Iuka, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003 in Salem.

Services were held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Paul Brown officiating. Burial was in Gholson Cemetery with military rites. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 20, 1938, in Broughton to Lulu (Ruphard) and the late Claud Moore. she is formerly of Eldorado and survives in Fairfield. On March 26, 1960, he married the former Judy Taylor, who survives in Iuka.

He was a machinist for World Coba Press. He served in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a son, John Moore of Iuka; four daughters, Carla Quick and fiancee Todd Dorris of Iuka, Connie Dale and special friend Douglas Gherardini of Womack, Carol Phillips of Salem and Christina Moore of Iuka; a brother, Rick (Vernia) Moore of Broughton; a sister, Judy Reed of Jackson, Mo.; and nine grandchildren, Jeremy Moore, John Claud Moore, Kirsten Hollingshead, Seth Quick, Tosha Linder, Tabitha Rogers, Derek Dale, Rebecca Gherardini and Drew Gherardini.

Contributions may be made to Wayfair Nursing Center and may be left at the funeral home.
