This picture looking northeast showing left to right, the corner of Allen Store with it's hitch racks on the east side. The elevator next with a portion of the Broughton Bank showing, large warehouse building, Depot, Gholson/Allen Store. White building in center, believed to be 1st State Bank.

This view looking north showing teams hitched to side of Allen Store and teams parked in front of barn. Notice the smokestack in the distance coming from the Tile Factory.

This picture taken in Feb. 1917 after a deep snow, looking northeast, shows the Depot and the Allen Store building before it burned in that year.

Also notice the Elevator north of Griswold barn, and the old Broughton Bank building at far right. Above the bank in the distance is the Methodist Church Steeple. This picture was obviously taken from the top of the flour mill, on the south side of Dawes Street looking north.
