Kathlyn was born Sept 22, 1916 to Joseph C. "Carl" and Effie Mae Barnwell Bealmer in Hamilton County.

She attended grade school in Broughton and High School in Broughton and Eldorado.

Kathlyn is survived by her husband Eugene "Gene" Irvin of Attic Angels Place in Middleton, Wisc. two sisters, Virginia of Burlington, Iowa and Grace of Miami, Fla. one son, Thomas and his wife Lueva of Middleton, two grandsons, Tim of Madison, Wis. and Steve of Phoenix, Ariz. and one great-grandson, Zachary. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby, of Las Vegas, Nev. and one brother, Howard, of Quincy.

Kathlyn was a devoted homemaker and avid bridge player during her many years of living in Eldorado and Champaign. She loved playing the piano for her own and others enjoyment at family gatherings. She loved having her grandsons visit and watched over them as a Mother hen would over her chicks. Even with the onset of loss of memory, her keen sense of humor and her ability to play the piano were but two of the things she'll be fondly remembered for.
