     This Indenture made this Fourteenth day of April Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and seventy three Between

Edward Dawes and Nancy P Dawes his wife of Hamilton County Illinois of the first part and Joseph J. Castles

of Gallatin County Illinois of the second part, Witnesseth that said partiesof the first part for and in consideration

of Ten Dollars to them in hand paid have and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey to said

Joseph J. Castles and his heirs and assigns forever the following lots in the town of Broughton in Hamilton County

Illinois laid off and recorded by said Edward Dawes towit:

Lots numbered One and Four in Block No Forty Eight (48)

(TOGETHER WITH OTHER LOTS NOT HEREIN ABSTRACTED)

To Have and to hold the same free from all encumbrances and the said parties of the first hereby expressly waive

release and relinquish unto the said party of the second part his his  heirs and assigns all right title claim interest and

benefit whatever in and to the above described lots and every part thereof which is given by or results from all laws

of the State of Illinois pertaining to the exemption of homesteads and of dower in the same.

     In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereto set their hands and seals the day and year

first above written.
