Services Monday For Mrs. Lucille Melton

Funeral services will be held Monday for Mrs. Lucille Melton, age 76, resident of East Dewey Road, Eldorado, who died at 5:45 Friday morning at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Mrs. Melton was a member of the First Church of Christ of Eldorado, the Prayer Band, Home Extension and a past president of the Senior Citizens Organization.

Daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Spence) Fairweather, she was born in Mayberry Township of Hamilton County on July 25, 1904. She was also the stepdaughter of George Ervin English.

On March 1, 1922, she was married in McLeansboro to Edo Melton, who survives.

Besides her husband, surviving are four sons, Henry (Dutch) Melton and Harry E. (Corkey) Melton, both of Eldorado, and Charles T. Melton of Fort Wayne, Indiana and William H. Melton of Lexington, Kentucky, two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Annabelle) Griswold of Odessa, Texas and Mrs. William (Mary) Gholson of Broughton, fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bean's Colonial Terrace in this city. Rev. Howard Scott will officiate the burial in Lindale Memorial Gardens.

Visitation at Bean's will be from 3 to 9 p.m Sunday.
