Mary Elizabeth Gholson died Nov 7, 1875 age 45y 7m, 6d. born in Roanoke Co Va, She was Married to Tomzon Gholson.
M. A. Mack, Broughton, Ill., farmer police, was found dead in bed Mar. 10, 1879.
Amy Mercer died Oct 9, 1883 age 9 m 23 days. She was the daughter of J. N. and E. D. Mercer, Broughton.

Mrs Nancy Ritchie died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Wooldridge Mar. 6, 1885, age 78 - Walpole News.
Feb. 29, 1888 - Dr. L. A. Porter died at Broughton, Ill.
H. A. Organ died Feb 5, 1894 at his brothers, Dr John S. Organ in Walpole. Buried near there. He was visiting here from Texas. Leaves a widow.
Newton Gholson died Mar. 9, 1896, age 62. Born Hamilton Co. Ill., lived Crook Tsp.
Child of Jas Jennings died last wk near Walpole. Many children and grown people have died from diptheria epidemic in this year. (Aug 29, 1895)
Nancy Organ of Walpole died Jan 24, 1897, wife of Dr. John S. Organ. He and 1 son survive.
Three year old son of Frank Reeves died June 22, 1899 buried Gholson Cemetery.
Thomzon Gholson d. Nov 29, 1899. He was married to Mary E. Gaines 1851. Had 5 children, wife died 1875. He married again to Nancy Dawes, widow of Edward Dawes. They had 2 children. Widow and 4 children survive, was a leading citizen of Broughton, Ill. Buried Gholson Grove Cem. (Note: Buriel was in Gholson Cemetery - not Gholson Grove)

John Richard Organ died Jefferson Hospital, St Louis Mo. Dec. 27, 1903. Born near Walpole, Hamilton Co. Ill. Dec. 18, 1882, youngest son of Dr. J. S. and Nancy Organ who were married 1877. 4th child died in infancy.
Ralph Eugene Reeves d. Nov 25, 1915 shooting accident, age 9y 3m 13d. Born Aug 1906, son of F. M. & Lou Reeves of Broughton, surv by parents 4 sis 5 bro's presc by 3 little bros. Buried Gholson Cem.
Lucy Gholson Nee Spencer, Simmons died Feb. 11, 1907 age 65y 11 mod. Married to James Simmons 1859. Married second James H. Gholson. Had 4 boys, 2 girls. Boys are dec. Survived by husband and 2 daughters. Buried Gholson Cemetery.
James Hardesty died at Broughton Mar. 29, 1908 age 91. He was born Hamilton Co. Ill and probably its oldest citizen. Was father of John and James.
Emily Farris died Nov 14, 1908, age 41y 1m 21d. Born in Hamilton Co Sept 23, 1867. Married to Willis Farris Dec. 31 1885. 11 children, all survive except 4. Also surviving are husband, father and 1 sister.
Dr. James G. wheeler died Walkers Sanitarium, Evansville Dec. 18, 1908 age 69y 9m 26d. Born Lawrence Co Tenn. Feb. 26, 1846, married to Miss Minnie Hillerman, Pope Co. Ill. Apr. 21, 1872. Had 4 ch, all died infancy. Veteran of Civil War. Funeral at Broughton, Burial at Pekin, Ill.
W.D. Scott d. Mar. 9, 1909 age 67y 11m 23d. Born in Illinois Mar. 16, 1841. Married to Halley McGinis in 1862, had 5 ch. Mrs Scott died Feb 10, 1873. He married second to Sarah Ann Langley Aug 29, 1875. She died 12 days ago. Leaves 1 sister, Polly Jane Bowers and 9 children. Burial Gholson Cemetery
F. T. McNail died Oct 15, 1910. 2 daughters and a son preceded him. Was station agent at Broughton for many years.
Margaret Elizabeth Shroyer Schramm died at her parents home in Broughton May 29, 1904. born Sept 21, 1887 in Broughton, daughter of John A. and Laurinda A. Shroyer she married Henry J Schramm, Edwardsville Mar 25, 1908. Had 1 son born Apr 12, 1909. Survived by parents, husband 1 sister, 3 brothers. Buried Gholson Cemetery.
Lyman Reed Reeves d. Jan 29, 1911 age 9y 8m 19d. born May 10, 1901 son of Frank and Louisa Reeves. Survived by parents 4 bro, 2 sis. Buried Gholson Cemetery.
Wesley W. Gholson died at his home in Broughton Apr 11, 1911 age 77y 10m 9d. Born in Hamilton Co. June 2, 1833, m. to Margaret Grimes Feb 17, 1753. Had 5 sons, 1 dau. Only one, Mahala Ann Hughes, Piggott Ark, survives. His wife died 1875. Married second Mrs Jane Addison Feb 15, 1879, had 3 girls, 1 boy, 2 survive, Nora Brown and Betty La Grange. Survivors are wife, 3 children, 10 grand ch, 8 great gr ch. Buried Gholson Cemetery.
Edward Everett Clark d. Pecos Texas Aug 24, 1911, age 24y 10m 6d. Born Broughton Oct 17, 1886, eldest son of Melvil L and Lou Clark. worked for U. S. Gov't. Survived by Mother, Mrs Lou Barker, 2 bros, Raliegh Clark and Floyd Gholson. Buried Gholson Cemetery.
Nancy C. Tyler Gholson d. May 3, 1913, age 56y 6m 15d. Born in Ky Oct 18, 1856, married to Samuel Gholson July 24, 1884, 8 ch. 3 presc her. Survived by husband, 5ch, 4sis, 2 bro. Buried Gholson Cemetery.

N. E. Turpin d. May 9, 1920, age 27y 3m 8d. Born Springville Ind Feb 1, 1893 son of H. J. and Malonda Turpin. was a Baptist Minister. Married to Nell Lemay of Broughton Aug 9, 1914. Had 1 child, Mary Ann b. Jan 3, 1917. His wife died Mar 9, 1919. Survived by dau, parents, 6 bro's 2 sis. Formerly of of Hamilton Co.
Frank Marion Rhine d. May 19, 1920 age 58y 6m 19d. Born Oct 31, 1861, son of Isaac and Sarah Edna Rhine. His father died when he was age 7, married at age 21 to Josie Logsdon Nov 13, 1883, 10 ch- Othel, Clyde, Cloyd, Ethel, Joe, Clydus, Calzie, Lotha, Ike, & Margaret. Clyde d. infancy. Survived by wife, 9 ch, 9gr gc, 1 sis Mrs Hannah Hall, & mother Logsdon. Buried Hickory Hill, west of Church.
Letisha Jane Owen d. July 4, 1920 age 79y 6m 4d. Born Dec 29, 1840 Roanoke Co. Va, daughter of Gibson Gaines who came here in 1848. Married to William Thomas Owen Jan 8, 1863. 9 ch- 5 presceded her. Mr. Owen died Oct 28, 1900. Surv by 1 sis Susan Matilda Keasler, 2 bro's Loranzo of Harrisburg, & James of Francis Mills. 2 sons, Omer E. and W. A. Owen, 2 daus, Lurinda Shroyer & Maud Owens, where she resided. Buried Gholson Cemetery.
