Wayne Willis Hunt, Lake of Egypt

Wayne Willis Hunt 82, Lake of Egypt, formerly of Broughton, passed away at 3:15 p.m., Monday, July 3, at his home after a long illness.

He was born November 12, 1917 in Hamilton County, the son of Earl and Grace (Williams) Hunt. He married Juanita Keasler in 1936. Mr. Hunt was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator and attended the Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Juanita; one son and daughter-in-law. Kenneth and Becky Hunt of Lake of Egypt; two granddaughters, Shelilah Neal and husband Dennis, of Norris City, Debra Wilson and husband, Richard, of Ft. Branch, Indiana; one step-grandson, Stephn Wolfe and wife, Peggy, of Mansfield, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters Ruth Griffith of Deming, New Mexico, Helen Short of Broughton; one brother, Earl Hunt Jr. of Deming, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl Hunt.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thrusday, July 6, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado, the Rev. Robert Sieffert officiating. Burial will be at Gholson Cemetery near Broughton. Visitation at Watson's will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service time. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
