DEATH OF JAMES W. GROSS

Passed away at his old home in Hamilton County April 3 at the age of 53 years

James Wesley Gross, second child in a family of 14 children of Felix and Mary Caroline Gross was born in Hamilton County June 30, 1865. He was 53 years 9 months and 4 days of age at the time of his death April 3, 1919. He was married to Lucy Beck Jan 19, 1888. To this union was born 11 children, Elmer Gross, Ella wife of William Parsons, Anna, wife of James Hutchinson Harold, Eweart, Clarence, Clarissa, Wilburn, Raymond and Ralph. Felix, the oldest one died in infancy. He spent his entire life on the old farm. where he was born. He told his wife & children he had made ready for eternity and we feel that we do not weep as they that have no hope. He leaves to mourn their loss a wife, ten children, 10 grand children, and three brothers, Thomas, David, and Charles Gross, besides many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the family home Friday, Apr 4 by Rev. N. C. Henderson after which the remains were laid to rest in Big Hill Cemetery.
