McLeansboro Times-Leader April 26, 1934

Felix Marion Gross, aged 74, retired farmer of Broughton, died at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado Friday night, April 20, following a lingering illness.  He had lived in Broughton for many years and was an active worker, both in civic and social affairs,and had many friends.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Parthena Gross, and five children, two sons and three daughters.  One son Louis, left home 32 yearsago, at the age of 16, and has never been heard from since.  The other son, Floyd, lives at Muddy, Ill.  The three daughters are Olive Lee of East St. Louis, Linna Stua of Kankakee, and Grace Gross of Elgin. 

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Broughton.
