Obituary

Esther Augusta Ruphard, daughter of Hiram and Emma L. Wheeler, was born November 3, 1905; departed this life January 2, 1928, at the age of 22 years, 1 month and 27 days.

She was united in marriage to Ewell Ruphard of Broughton, Ill., on Aug. 6, 1925. This happy union was blessed with a son, Ewell, Jr. 

She leaves to mourn her departure, a devoted husband and infant child, a loving father and mother, six brothers, namely: Cheerful, Sheridan, Barney, Lawerence, Arthur, Hiram, Jr., three sisters, namely:  Mrs. Eliza Meeks, Mrs. Ruth Mayberry and Venita, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Esther was one of those whom it could truly be said, her friends were numbered by her acquaintances. 

Her desire in life was to scatter flowers in the pathway of others.  She was a devoted companion and was ever ready to administer to the wants of others.

Her illness was short, but all was done for her that medical aid and loving hands could do.

God in his wisdom has saw fit to call her from labor to reward.  Our loss is her gain. 

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. C. Holder at the Methodist church of Dale. A very beautiful floral offering was given.
