Pvt Ezekial Eugene Scott Buried This afternoon With Military Honors

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p. m. this afternoon for Pvt. Ezekial Eugene Scott at the Jones Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Maulding officiating. Burial was made at Gholson's cemetery south of Broughton.

The American Legion and VFW conducted rites at the grave.

Pvt. Scott was the son of Sheriff and Mrs. W. E. Scott. He was born July 25, 1912. He entered the army on December 20, 1943.

He was killed in action in France on July 23, 1944. He was married to Fay Launius on October 28, 1934.

Survivors include the widow, Fay, the parents, Sheriff and Mrs Scott, two brothers, Willard of Alton and Carl of McLeansboro, and four sisters, Susan LaClaire of Alton, Mildred, Emma, and Ula of Chicago.
